Quick Update: Promotions

Use Quick Update to associate an existing promotion with many properties at once.

Before you start, ensure you have already created a promotion in your Rentsync account. 

Managing Existing Promotions

  1. Click "Properties" from the main menu
  2. Click "+ Quick Update" from the sub menu
  3. Click on "Promotions" from the resulting sub menu
  4. Click the promotion name from the promotion list you want to edit or the + icon on the right hand side 
  5. Change the promotion name, promotion category (see section below), status and start & end date if necessary
    1. If promotion category is modified, complete any additional fields that have populated
  6. Click “Select Properties” to select which property the promotion is applicable to 
    1. Select all applicable properties by searching the city or name. 
    2. You can use the search bar at the top of the pop up to refine the search
    3. Click “Save Promotion Properties” to exit the modal. 
  7. Click the Save button to save your updates. 

 

Add a promotion category that prospects can use to filter by on the Rental Listing Sites

You have the ability to filter by category under “All Filters”.

  1. Free Rent: Any promotion that offers free rent by the month. Example: 3 months free rent on a 12 month lease
  2. Rent Discount (%): Any promotion that offers a set amount rent discount by the month. Example: $500 off for 2 months on a 12 month lease.
  3. Rent Discount (Amount): Any promotion that offers a set amount rent discount by the month. Example: $500 off for 2 months on a 12 month lease.
  4. Free Parking: Any promotion that offers free parking. Example: 3 months free parking on a 12 month lease.
  5. Free Storage: Any promotion that offers free storage. Example: 12 months free storage on a 12 month lease.
  6. Gift: Any promotion that offers a one-time gift. Example: $50 gift card when you sign a lease.
  7. Service Discount (%): Any promotion that offers a percentage off discount on any services that go beyond parking or storage (e.g. free internet, phone, cable, etc.). Example: 20% off laundry for 12 months on a 12 month lease.
  8. Service Discount (Amount): Any promotion that offers a set amount discount on any services that go beyond parking or storage (e.g. free internet, phone, cable, etc.). Example: $50 off cable for 1 month on a 12 month lease.
  9. Other Promotion: - Any promotion that does not fit the other categories.

 

Edit Promotions in Bulk

If you want to change the status of multiple promotions at once, or if you want to apply multiple promotions to a set number of properties, use the bulk editing options. 

  1. Click "Properties" from the main navigation bar
  2. Click "+ Quick Update" from the sub menu
  3. Click on "Promotions" from the resulting sub menu
  4. Find the promotions you need to edit from the list, or by using the filters at the top of the page
  5. Select all promotions you want to make changes to or want to assign properties to by clicking on the checkbox at the beginning of the corresponding row
  6. Once you have more than one promotion selected, you will see four buttons at the top of the page: 
    1. "Bulk Edit Status" to enable or disable promotions in bulk
    2. "Bulk Edit Properties" to assign multiple promotions to the same set of properties
    3. “Bulk Edit Start & End Date” to edit the start and end dates of multiple promotions 
    4. “Bulk Edit Category" to assign the same category and corresponding fields to multiple promotions (see section above) 
  7. Changes will be applied when you click “Save” within the modal.
