Job posting fields

  • Title: Required. An internal name to help you organize your postings. This is not displayed to applicants.
  • Position Title: Required. The name of the role as it will appear on your website.
  • Location: Where the position is located.
  • Job Type: A dropdown to indicate the type of position (full-time, part-time, etc.).
  • Travel Required: Indicates whether the role requires travel.
  • Hours per Week: The number of working hours required per week.
  • Wage Type: A dropdown to indicate how the role is compensated.
  • Wage Amount: The hourly or salaried rate for the position.
  • External Posting URL: A link to the posting on an external site, such as Indeed. Applicants will be directed to this URL when they click to apply.
  • Posting Summary: A short description of the role, typically displayed on your careers listing page.
  • Posting Details: Full details about the role, displayed on the posting's individual page.
  • How to Apply: Instructions for applicants on how to be considered for the position.
  • SEO: Optional fields to add an SEO Title, URL, and Meta Description for the posting. For more information visit Basic SEO on Your Website
  • Visibility: Set to Published (open) or Not Published (closed).
  • Posting Start Date: Schedule the posting to go live on a future date.
  • Posting End Date: Set an expiry date to automatically close the posting.
  • Contact fields: The contact name and email for the person receiving applications. This determines where career form submissions are sent.

Note: The Contact Email field on each individual career posting determines where application form submissions for that specific job are routed. This is separate from your general property contact information, ensuring applications reach the correct person or department for that posting instead of defaulting to a site-wide contact.

  • Tags: Group similar postings together for filtering on your website.

Tip: When filling in the Posting Details or How to Apply sections, type your content directly into the field rather than copying and pasting from a Word document. Pasting from Word can carry over hidden formatting that causes inconsistent fonts or text sizes on your live website.
