How to Enable Tours for a Property

Before prospects can book tours at your property, Tours must be activated on your account and enabled per property.

Is Tours on Your Account?

Tours is an optional, premium feature. If you do not see Tours in your left-hand navigation menu, it has not been added to your account yet. Contact your Rentsync Account Manager to have it added.

Once Tours is active on your account, each property must be individually enabled before it can have its own booking widget.

How to Enable Tours on a Property

Once Tours has been activated on your account by the Rentsync team, follow these steps to turn it on for a specific property:

1. Click "Tours" from the main navigation bar on the left

2. Click "+ Settings" from the sub menu

3. Click "Property Settings"

4. Locate the property you want to enable in the list

5. Click the pencil (edit) icon beside the property name

6. Change the Tours Status to Enabled

7. Click Save

 

Note: The property status must be “Enabled” before you can turn on Tours. If the property is currently Disabled, go to Properties > Property List, open the property, and enable it first under Publishing. For properties connected to an integration (e.g., Yardi, BuildingStack), the property status may be controlled by your property management system. Contact support@rentsync.com if you are unsure.

Enabling Tours on Multiple Properties at Once

To save time when enabling Tours for several properties simultaneously:

  1. Navigate to Tours > Settings > Property Settings
  2. Click Bulk Edit Properties
  3. Select the properties you want to update
  4. Toggle the Tour Status to Enabled or Disabled as needed
  5. Click Save

My Property Isn't Showing in Property Settings — What Do I Do?

If a property does not appear in your Tours > Settings > Property Settings list, Tours may not have been activated for that specific property. Contact support@rentsync.com with the property name and your account details and the team will enable it for you.

Finding the Tour Widget Link for a Property

Once Tours is enabled on a property, you can copy the direct link to the Tours booking widget. This is useful if you have a non-Rentsync website and need to embed or link the booking widget manually.

  1. Navigate to Tours > Settings > Property Settings
  2. Locate the property
  3. Click the globe icon beside the property name
  4. Copy the URL that appears

This URL can be shared with your web developer, marketing team, or sent directly to a prospect.

 

Tip: If you are manually adding a new property in Rentsync and want Tours enabled on it right away, scroll to the very bottom of the Add Property page and check the Tours checkbox before saving. If you miss this step or the property is already created, contact support@rentsync.com to have Tours added to the property.
